Played around with the synth and recorded a couple of scratch takes which may or may not see the light of day, as well as some experimentation on both DAEA- and GDAD- tuned bouzouki. Which was about the point at which Mike realised that 95 bpm might be a shade quicker than he intended. Logic’s flex-time tools are brilliant for this – given how long it took to get a decent take re-recording was the less desirable option, but instead it’s possible to get Logic to slow down the take by 10bpm without sacrificing final quality. We may yet re-record it, but it’s certainly a more than serviceable guide on which to base an arrangement.
