Tracks:

Three Days Away

  • strummed acoustic guitar (LAG 300JCE, standard) – Mike – stereo (Rode NT1 and internal pickup)
  • strummed acoustic guitar (LAG 100DCE, standard) – Mike – stereo (Rode NT1 and internal pickup)
  • strummed acoustic guitar x 2 (LAG 200PE parlour, Nashville tuned) – Mike – stereo (Rode NT1 and internal pickup)
  • electric bass (Sire Marcus Miller V7, BEADG – Mike) – mono (DI)

Production Notes:

First chance for a proper play with the old LAG parlour restrung in Nashville tuning (essentially normal guitar but with the low four strings up an octave, like the extra strings from a 12 string set). The rhythm track for Three Days Away is now a rich jangly wash of guitars, and sounds pretty good once James had worked some editing magic.
