Production Notes:
The Mill House is (originally) a John Martin/Tanahill Weavers track we’re using as a playout to the Miller’s Tale, in a very Fairport style – just sticking a version of the melody down so we can work out a backing track for later recording by one of our many tame fiddle players (some negotiation as to tempo will be required :D)
Paper Worlds is a bit of a complex arrangement (we’re aiming for full on E-Street band à la “Thunder Road”), so the guide guitar is just there to get tempo, time signature changes and bar counts in the right places and will get replaced later.
Today marks the first day we’ve recorded every guitar part in standard tuning on a normal 6-string instrument!
